Planned Giving

What is Planned Giving?

Planned Giving is any gift given for any purpose to a charitable organization. It is typically a deferred or a “current and deferred” gift (donation is received immediately, but access is restricted until a later date.) This type of gift generally requires the help of professional advisors such as an attorney, accountant, or financial planner and is one that donors incorporate into their financial and/or estate plans.

Why choose Planned Giving?

For the organization:

  • Larger gifts

  • Potential to build endowment fund

  • Less dependence upon the need for special events

For the Donor:

  • Leaving a legacy

  • Income tax deductions

  • Reduction of estate taxes

  • Income return on charitable gifts higher than regular investments

  • Potentially higher inheritance for heirs with appropriate planning

With Planned Giving donations, ACCAP is able to guarantee that future generations will receive the services that they need. The donations allow for a strong and continued service to the community for generations to come and to continue to build a brighter future for Armstrong County.

All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we’re giving or receiving help, each one of us has something valuable to bring to this world. That’s one of the things that connects us as neighbors—in our own way, each one of us is a giver and
a receiver.
