Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services for Children and Adolescents (BHRS)

BHRS Program Director:  Gregory A. Lobb, M.Ed., L.P.C.

Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services are mental health services that are provided to children and adolescents in their home, community, and school settings.  They are often called “wraparound” services.  BHRS are for children and adolescents who have a serious emotional or behavioral disorder that can best be treated in the child or adolescents’ natural environment.

Resource Coordination

RC Program Director:  Gregory A. Lobb, M.Ed., L.P.C.

Resource Coordination (RC) Services are case management mental health services that are provided to adults, children, and adolescents in their natural environment.  RC services follow CASSP and CSP Principles and implement a strengths-based approach to providing services to consumers in need of stability in their community.

Professional Services Offered

Individual:  Individual psychotherapy is a primary mode of treatment, involving regular and frequent sessions between a trained, licensed professional and an individual.  Individual psychotherapy can be helpful when an individual is experiencing significant emotional problems, which negatively impact personal functioning, and quality of life.  Most individual psychotherapy is brief, lasting between 6 and 12 sessions.

Couples:  Couples psychotherapy is a method of treatment used to help couples having relationship problems, which are interfering with one, or both member’s overall functioning.  This type of treatment is typically brief, with emphasis on improved communication and conflict resolution skill acquisition.

Family:  Family psychotherapy provides an opportunity for a family system to create and maintain emotionally healthy change in the family system.  Families may be in distress over many issues, including loss, developmental stages, or problems with one of more family members and their behaviors.  Typically most of all family members are present for sessions with the licensed clinician.

Group:  Group therapy is offered for children and adolescents focusing on adjustment to divorce, social skills, eating disorders, and anger management.  Group Therapy provides psycho-education, peer support, and a trustworthy environment for self-disclosure.  Specific group therapy is offered for adults from time to time.
