HOME BASE OPTION - - -

This option provides another choice for parents interested in preschool.  It is designed to meet the needs of parents who are interested in their families becoming closely involved in their child's preschool experience.  This is a great option for three year olds.  Ninety minute home visits are held weekly in the family's home and include children, parents, and the Home Visitor who plan and work together to develop preschool skills.  In addition, child/parent socialization days are held weekly.  Parents attend with their children and have the unique opportunity to see their children meet new friends, learn to share, and play together.  (Adults also get to meet new friends and share the ups and downs of parenting a preschooler.)  Regular field trips are planned by the parent and home visitor and are scheduled throughout the community to such places as the police station, fire hall, and the post office.  Parents attend along with their children.
