The following services are offered to all clients regardless of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, national origin, age sex, or handicap. 1. Information and referral regarding the various social service programs available to meet families’ needs. 2. General protective services are offered to children at risk of minor or moderate neglect, school truant youth, and youth who are ungovernable. 3. Child protective services are provided to children who are suspected victims or confirmed victims of child abuse or serious physical neglect. 4. Child placement services are offered to children who for one or more reasons cannot safely remain in their own homes. Placement options include foster family care; group homes in the community, and residential treatment. 5. In addition an array of other family support services is also offered including family preservation services, family group decision-making, parent education, and training in independent living skills for youth. Eligibility requirements are a child welfare need and Armstrong County residency. |
